Questions about Becoming an Audiobook Narrator
Basic Membership Includes:
• Access to our vibrant Community Space, where professional audiobook narrators connect, support each other, and share experiences.
• Exclusive members-only pop-up webinars and special guest events designed to inspire and educate.
• Early notice of upcoming webinars and courses before they are announced to our broader audience.
• Ability to coordinate in-real-life meetups for occasions like Indie Bookstore Day and regional book events, connecting members geographically.
• Membership in an intentional community that fosters accountability, connection, and support — especially valuable in our often isolated industry.
Our members consistently report greater work-life harmony, improved vocal health, and stronger business performance through the ongoing encouragement and shared resources.
Absolutely. From Ann Richardson’s thorough Launching for New Narrators course all the way to frank conversations about what it can look like to take a break or even retire from narration, our intention is to create community that evolves with our member narrators throughout their careers.
Yes we do. Some we organize for our members, while others emerge organically through discussions among narrators who decide to create a panel presentation at a regional festival or coordinate a live reading at a local bookstore or library.
Members have access to faculty coaching schedules via private booking links. In some cases those sessions are available at a lower price. In others, narrator.life membership is the only way to book with a particular coach, who may not want a high volume of 1:1 bookings. In addition, we are creating an affiliate program for narrators who are ready to begin mentoring and coaching and need to offer a certain number of sessions at lower rates as part of their path to affiliate status.
