How to prep a book for narration, both non-fiction and fiction
How to plan a schedule so that you can meet your deadline (taking into consideration factors such as word-counts, recording time:finished run time, household schedule, stamina, recording consistency, bodily functions, weather conditions)
How to establish character voices and keep track of them for consistency
Post-production process (proofing, editing, mastering, pickups, final product)
What to do when the book is done
How to choose samples to upload to your profile or website
What genres would be a good fit for you
Who are the clients? (“Big” publishers, indie publishers, ACX and independent authors)
Resources to research for a variety of help with topics from performance techniques to accounting procedures

Led by Ann Richardson
Ann Richardson is an award winning audiobook narrator and coach who brings deep industry experience and high professional standards to every student she works with. Narrating since 2008, Ann has earned four AudioFile Earphones Awards, multiple Society of Voice Arts Award finalist honors, and has narrated more than 350 audiobooks for major publishers and independent authors alike.
As the creator and instructor of Launching for New Narrators, she specializes in helping newcomers build strong foundations, avoid common early mistakes, and develop the skills, workflow, and mindset needed to become ethical, confident, working professionals in the audiobook industry.
